Why use a water filtration system? Isn't boiling water safer?
Many families maintain the quality of drinking water by boiling, believing that boiling water should be able to achieve disinfection. While 15 to 20 minutes of boiling may kill intestinal bacteria and viruses, it cannot eradicate the taste of chlorine. Also, the sediment and lead in the water remain even after boiling the water, leading to harmful effects on the human body over time.

There are many types of home water filtration systems, how to choose?
Choose a 3M™ Residential Water Filtration system based on the filtration capacity & performance, type of harmful substances, family size and usage. You can choose the appropriate model according to the water quality of the area, the status and service life of the water pipes of the buildings and residences, and size of your household to achieve the most effective and economical filtering effect. Generally, models with an effective filtration capacity of less than 1,500 liters are suitable for small households (2-4 people) for 6-9 months; models with an effective filtration capacity of more than 1,500 liters can be used by small households for one year.

Can 3M™ water filter cartridges be cleaned?
The 3M™ water filter cartridge is designed with a fully enclosed filter cartridge that requires no cleaning. Its design prevents cross-contamination by avoiding contact with the inside of the cartridge and ensures the effectiveness of its filtration function.

How to replace the filter cartridges of 3M™ Residential Water Filtration System?
The 3M™ Residential Water Filtration System (3M™ AP Easy series and DWS2500T-CN series) has two patented designs to facilitate the replacement of filter cartridges:
- Built-in Bypass Valve, no need to turn off the water system when replacing the filter.
- Sanitary Quick Change (SQC)

- 3M™ Residential Water Filtration Systems meet the Filtration Systems Standards of 42 (Aesthetic Effect) and 53 (Health effect) of the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF International).
- There is NSF mark labelled on the NSF International certified products such as 3M™ AP Easy Series and DWS2500T-CN Water Filtration System.
- You can browse the website of the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF International) to check the types of filter substances in the water filtration system, or through the label affixed to the water filtration system, to check filter substances and other parameters of the relevant system.

The recommended operating temperature of the 3M™ household water filtration system is 4.4 to 37.8 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it is not recommended to filter hot water which may affect the system’s operation.
