3M™ Peltor™ HYX3 Hygiene Kit for Earmuffs, Hearing Conservation, 10 Kits/Case

The 3M™ Peltor™ X-Series HYX3 Hygiene Kit includes replaceable ear cushions and foam liners for X-Series X3 Earmuffs, models X3A and X3P3E (sold separately). Peltor X-Series X3 is a lightweight, low-profile earmuff designed for protection against high level industrial noise and other loud sounds with a Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 28 dB. Class A. A newly designed spacer helps improve attenuation without the need for a larger cup or double cup. Using this replacement kit can extend the service life of hearing protection equipment and potentially result in cost savings. Exposure to loud noises can adversely affect the ability to hear over time. Wearing proper hearing protection devices can help in reducing the harmful effects of noise. Sound levels are expressed in decibels, often abbreviated as dB. Higher decibel numbers indicate louder sounds. Typical decibel levels associated with common sounds include: outdoors with no people or traffic 20 dB, normal conversation 60 dB, power lawn mower 90 dB, chain saw 110 dB, and 12-gauge shotgun 165 dB. The hearing protector NRR can be used to evaluate different hearing protection options. However, the actual level of protection varies depending on fit, wearing time and other factors.
